"Surely I am coming quickly," Amen. Even so, come Lord Jesus! -- Rev. 22:20 NKJV

At this time of the year, we celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. As we look back to that day of wonder, we need to remember His promise to return for His people, His bride, his Church. (John 14:1-3)

So much scripture points to that promise. Paul's writings in the New Testament lead the churches to the glorious promise of His return. We hope for that day each day as we rise. We ask if this is the day when the heavens will split open with the glory of our Lord and King that will flash across the globe to establish His Kingdom in this dark and dying world. (Matt. 24: 27)

We remember that this is a day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.( Ps. 118:24)  We are children of light. We are not in darkness or in ignorance.( 1 Thess. 5:5)  We have the written word. Likewise, we are called to unceasing prayer. (Luke 18:1) Through prayer the most awesome relationship is formed with our limitless God. We need to always remember Jesus is coming.

Even if there seems to be no way, Jesus is the way. He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
( Isa. 43:19) This is how He receives glory. He said to fear not the world because He had overcome the world.(John 16:33)

Jesus declared to His disciples that with God all things are possible. Think about the word "all". That word "all" encompasses everything we can think and everything we cannot conceive. Jesus is the God of all. Limitless. We cannot put Him in a shoebox. If we try, we lose.(Matt. 19:26)

We need to remember daily the work of Jesus on the Cross. The work of forgiveness He crafted for us with His own blood, is the beginning of the plan that was implemented before time began.(Luke 23:24) As we look forward to the fulfillment of the promise of His coming, let us not be caught sleeping, but praying always, looking for His coming. (Matt. 25:1-13)

Even so, come Lord Jesus....

Merry Christmas!
