Freedom in Jesus

Colossians 2:20-23 - Therefore if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations -- "Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle," which all concern things which perish with the using -- according to the commandments and doctrines of men?
These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

In this day and time there are so many coming forward with 10 step programs to prayer. We need to keep first and foremost our  relationship with Jesus Christ. He called us His Beloved. We desperately need to remember who we are in the relationship to maintain the freedom to come to Him in all things. There is no need for ritual or regulations. There is no need for a mediator.
1 Tim.2:5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.
We are His Beloved. We are called to pray, to ask, to seek and to knock consistently and continually.

We are the vehicle that brings the Kingdom of God to earth. Remember the Lord's Prayer.
Matt.6: 9-10 - Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Through our daily prayer we see those things that exists in heaven and ask for them to be manifested on earth. This includes the relationship we have been born into when we were born again into Jesus Christ, our relationship with others in our homes and in our workplaces, and the relationship or light we are to demonstrate to our communities. We see that there is no sickness or disease in Heaven. There are no hungry in Heaven. There is no want in Heaven. We see these things that dominate our world and understand that they are not the will of our Heavenly Father. He searches the earth looking for those who will stand in the gap and pray for His will to be done on earth  as it is in Heaven. No bells or whistles are needed to approach His throne. We are told to come boldly before His throne. All He asks is that we forgive each other as we have been forgiven. The only requirement He has given us is to forgive.

Matt. 6:12 - Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors....

This is not a 10 step program. We need to pray like never before. There are no requirements for us to meet. They have already been met by Jesus Christ. Our world is in chaos and the King and the Kingdom are coming.
We have been charged to pray without ceasing. We are to keep a song of praise and thanksgiving on our hearts and remember who we are at all times. We are the blood bought body of Jesus Christ.

Brothers and Sisters let us join in fervent prayer through the blessed name of Jesus and the power of His Holy Spirit.
