I just watched an old 7th Heaven rerun. It ended with the words, "If only we could stop hating each other." The words echo in my heart. The violence we face each day brings a hardness to our spirits. We become callous to the constant reports of death, destruction & hatred.
But we are the Church.
We are to love even and especially the unlovable. We are called to love. Not the love that this world refers to as love but the love of our Father. That love calls us up to a higher place. It calls us to be different...To be that shining light that we are called to be. Our prayers are shallow and powerless without the love of Christ. Love is not that gooshy feeling we hear of, but it is a commitment to do good, to do what is right no matter how hard...to not be selfish and put another first..
When will we as the Body of Christ learn to love as Jesus loves and gave His life for us? When will the lines of division called denominationalism, amongst others, be erased? Those lines keep us powerless because they breed contempt. One body. One baptism. One Spirit. One head which is Jesus Christ.
How often do we grieve the Holy Spirit with our justifications. We seek revival. We seek His blessing as a nation yet we will not repent of our stubbornness and pride. Monday a horrible event took place in Boston. It was a crime of hate. The media has sought to place a blame. Hollywood wants to redefine the constitution. (Interesting because they have promoted more violence than anyone.) But most of us have given our condolences to Boston, said a prayer and are about our daily duties.
1Jo 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.
The one fact I do know. Jesus is coming. He will come to each one of us sometime in our lives. Whether it is when we close our eyes in death or when the skies split open with His glory, we will see Him. Our resolve to live holy before Him, set apart from the ways of the world to bring glory to His name should be first and foremost. He died for us, shouldn't we live for Him?
When will we stop hating each other?
There is one simple prayer that will change your life. If you pray it from your heart and sincerely desire His presence, you will never be the same.
Jesus forgive me of my sin. Come into my heart and make me new. Be my Lord and Savior. Thank You Jesus. Amen.
Now I ask for each one who prays that prayer for the Holy Spirit to fill you to full to overflowing that you will never be the same and you will find a new and awesome life lead by Jesus Christ.
1Jo 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
Then Angels Came
Then Angels Came is a teaching/prayer ministry. We are Brian and Jill, ministers who are seeking to encourage the body of Christ to pray in all things.
Welcome!
Let us come and reason together and see what Jesus Christ has in store.

What if?
What if one day in prayer you heard the Voice of God? What if He spoke to you in such a manner that you had absolutely no doubt it was Him? What if He posed a question to you such as----"Where are My people?" AND "Why do they not come before Me in repentance and prayer?"
Now suppose this actually happens... Humor me because I have been told by a vast number of Church people that God does not speak to anyone but maybe a pastor.
How would you respond to the God of the Universe? How would you explain to Him that His Church really doesn't believe His word? That His Bride is out partying with the world system that His Son, Jesus Christ, died & was resurrected to defeat?
If we really new Him would we recognize His hand moving in this world that is so steeped in evil and perversion?
I have followers on Twitter and Facebook that are tweeting and posting 24/7. When do they take time to pray? When does the Church take time out for their Heavenly Father, to sit at His feet and listen to His heart? Maybe then they would figure out He does speak to His children.
Mt 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Consider this....
We look at the above scripture and think, "Well the world isn't converted yet so we have time before His coming." Wrong.
The scripture says "as a witness". A witness testifies either for or against an individual. The world hears the gospel and is refusing it. The gospel will testify of its evil and that it (those of the world) loves darkness and evil rather than goodness and Christ.
Joh 3:19 "And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
I had a person explain to me that the Bible really doesn't say what it means. Sad to say, he referred to himself as a minister. I have found that our heavenly Father says exactly what He means. If He tells you judgment is at the door because "My people" won't repent and pray, then I suggest you need to read the headlines once in awhile, while we can, while we still are a free nation.
Church wake up! Jesus is coming. But He is coming for those who are awake, in prayer and expecting His soon arrival. He is coming for a holy bride. One He has set apart for himself. One that He has not had to share with the world. According to Scripture, she is without spot or wrinkle. Only by His grace can this be accomplished but we must turn our hearts to Him and make a choice. Jesus or the world. Jesus or Satan. Chose today whom you will follow.
Joh 3:18 "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
2Ch 7:14 "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

The Footprint of Mankind
Read the newspaper. Check out the news on Facebook or Twitter. Catch the World news on Tv. The events of the day are going down in history. What is more, it is being recorded in Heaven by our Heavenly Father. Angels await for the command to harvest the earth. It is becoming more ripened each day as we approach the end of the End of the Age.
There was a song a few years back pertaining to "Leaving a Legacy."
Posted on Facebook today, I viewed a young man pouring a bottle of booze forcibly down the throat of a puppy. I know that there are much more horrible things in this world but it seemed to put me on tilt. Sometimes it is the inhumanity of this world to the very innocent that can make our skin crawl.
We are leaving a legacy, a footprint for all eternity. From what I read in the Bible, it is not a good one. Sometimes it's not a pleasant thought to be counted among the human race. Even with the Body of Christ, we cannot agree even to come together to repent of our sin and pray. If we did and could things would not be in the mess that it is.
Take our country for example, If we could ever unite in repentance and prayer, our Father has promised He would heal our land. Instead we have our freedom stripped from us to even use the name of Jesus in a public place without fear of reprisal. Supposedly 80% of this nation is supposed to be Christian? But the President of this nation made it clear in his opinion this nation is NOT a Christian nation. That is his opinion, not mine.
Programming on TV looks pretty demonic so who is watching the programming? How many millions of babies are aborted? How many children and even adults are molested and abused? How is it the divorce rate in the Church is higher than the secular world? What about pornography? What is the footprint of the Church? We can go on but I am sure everyone knows what is really going on. That is exactly why no one wants to become a Christian.
Every time I start posting the Word of God pertaining to His justice and His promise to uphold righteousness, I lose followers on Twitter. As long as we have the feel good scriptures, I have ample following. But it makes me rejoice knowing when I sin, IF I own up to it, He will forgive me. So we must be quick to repent. We are not fooling Him at all. We are fooling ourselves in the pride of our humanity that we really are okay. That is not what the Word says. All have fallen short...... Our Father gave us the most precious gift from His heart to our most corrupt, inhuman heart. That gift was and is His Son, Jesus Christ. In Him we have life. We have a new heart. A heart that is like His heart. A heart of love, mercy, goodness and peace.
I am so grateful He has a perfect place of peace for those who love Him enough to be disciplined and raised up by His Holy Spirit. I WANT more than anything to be with Him forever. I don't want to hang on to my miserable sin of pride and rebellion to just say I am someone. I am dead in Christ. I no longer live but Christ lives in me. I am a new creature.
The only footprint I want to leave behind is the footprint of Jesus Christ.
When will the Body unite to be His chosen people for His plans and His purposes and His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven? The Kingdom of God belongs to Him. It is a gift He gives to those who believe and bears the fruit of it.
Mt 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
It's about a holy relationship.

Only Believe
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
One of the biggest hindrances to answered prayer is doubt & unbelief. The obstacle before us is the ability to believe. We have come to understand that believing is a choice. We have been given grace to overcome all things. Grace is the power to overcome what we in ourselves can not.
We choose what we believe & how we believe.
The decision we base that belief in is our standard by which we judge everything. Some judge things by their experiences. Others judge by their knowledge and education.
We as the children of God Almighty are to use His standard to measure what we believe. That standard is His Word. If we do not keep His word as the final authority we will have no faith in Him to perform anything He has promised.
Our faith is placed solely in Him, not in our abilities. We needed a Savior. Father sent His Son. We needed a teacher to lead us. Father sent His Holy Spirit. We needed a guide book by which we could live. Father gave us His written Word. In ourselves we can do nothing. Jesus gave us the example to live by. He did what He saw His Father do. He was led by the Holy Spirit. He knew the Word and used it to defeat Satan. Jesus is our example.
De 30:19 "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
"Only believe" is the heart cry of our Father. We make His word the source of our life, we release Him to keep His promises. A relationship is a two party commitment. It's not one-sided.
Joh 6:29 Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent."
Our part is to believe. This is our faith in Him. This is our belief in Him. This is where our prayers become effective.

Relationship is at the Heart of Prayer
Mt 6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Jesus calls His children into the heart of the matter when He teaches. It's all a matter of the heart. We, as His people, have fallen into the trap of the world as we seek after "things". He counsels in His sermon on the Mount not to seek after "things" like clothes, a roof over your head or even food. These basic things, He tells us, our Father in Heaven is already aware that we have need. Jesus goes so far as to tell His people not to worry about these things, but to trust that our Father is a good Father who will provide.
The key issue at hand is revealed when Jesus tells us to seek the Kingdom of God. He teaches us that here all things are provided. Here we are His children & He is a good Father. He provides all things, after we believe and receive Him as our Father through Christ Jesus. The fact then is He is our Father. The relationship is established. We ask from the point of relationship. We cry out "Abba Father".
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
One of the key factors within the Kingdom is faith. We cannot please God without it. We cannot operate within His realm, which is our home, any other way. He has even given us the measure of faith that we need to come to Him.(Romans 12:3) If any of His children would come to Him in any other manner, it would be impossible for Him to respond. Our Father made the rules of which He alone is God. He established the way home, which is Jesus. He established the law of the Kingdom which is faith. He established the function or relationship of the kingdom which is family. All who live here are family. We live in love, peace and joy.
Ro 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Joh 17:26 "And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them."
Jesus declared to everyone His Father's name, the name and relationship of Father. He taught us that when we pray, we pray to "Our Father".
Mt 19:14 But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
Lu 18:17 "Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it."
We are taught that our standing is one of relationship. We must have that relationship set firm when we go to Him in prayer. So many prayers never go above the ceiling of the rooms because they are not a matter of the heart. They are offered out of tradition and obligation.
But when we pray, we share in the heart of the matter at hand. The heart of the matter is that the will of the Father be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Jesus expressed repeatedly He did nothing that He didn't see His Father do. He was about His Father's will. Jesus is our example. Our prayers are to be offered up in agreement with our Heavenly Father and His word, that His word & will be accomplished. When we are about His business He is about ours.
Seek first the kingdom and all things will be added. Seek the Kingdom Work first. Seek His heart, His ways, His will. He is a loving Father who cares for His children. We submit ourselves to Him and His will. We are not our own. We belong to Him.
Prayer is guided by His Holy Spirit. He reveals the matters at hand that need focused prayer. His heart is about His people, the lost and issues of His Word being fulfilled. We are called His House of Prayer. His children are His prayer warriors. It's not a special calling that some are drawn to, but it is the high calling of being of a kingdom of priests.
Mt 21:13 And He said to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves.'"
1Pe 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Pray always to know our Father's heart. The matter of the heart is revealed through relationship born out of the knowledge that He loved us first. He loved us so much He gave His only Son that we may become sons and daughters in His kingdom of His dear Son. We pray to touch His heart. We pray because we love Him. We pray to accomplish His will on this earth so others will see and know Him. He is Jesus. He is Father. He is the Holy Spirit. They are one. And we are family.
I was first taught that "we approach God with fear and trepidation". I was afraid to approach Him much less become close enough to Him to pray. I have learned that I am to run to my "Daddy's" arms. They are open wide to hold me and His love is so great He will always listen to hear me. He is a good Father. Pray always and without ceasing to know our Father's heart.
Seek first the Kingdom of God.

Wake up! Wake up! Shake off your Slumber!
Mt 25:1-13. Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom comes; go ye out to meet him.
Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man comes...
The love of God is expressed through His word and searches the hearts of man. His children are first and foremost in His heart. His desire is to lose none. His heart is for a relationship with each and every child to demonstrate His nature and His ways. We cannot respond to Him in our daily lives if we do not know Him or look for Him in everything that happens.
Jesus spoke with Martha when she came to him with a complaint against her sister Mary. He counseled her that Mary had sought the greater blessing. Mary sought to sit at His feet to hear His teaching and learn of Him. The busy work of everyday is designed to make us feel good but it grieves Him because it keeps us from Him. It lulls us into a righteous sleep.
If there is no prayer there is no light. If there is no light then we become captives of our enemy. The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy with anything he can use. Religious activity is one of his favorite tools to keep us from the priority of prayer. He also is a master of using a misunderstood scripture to weave a bondage that keep us from being free to pray.
Prayer is the establishment of the most intimate relationship we can have with our Father. Jesus made the way possible, He gave us His name. With His name comes the authority above all authority. Father said in scripture that the name of Jesus is above all names. We enter the throne room boldly though the access given by His name. We are cleansed through His blood and given His righteousness to stand before our Father clean and justified. Humility is our cloak as we wait to hear the desire of His heart. Our agreement with His heart is prayer He waits to receive. That He can fulfill the prayer that His Son uttered that His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Our heart's desire is to be the desire of our Father. Jesus prayed in the Garden that we would be one as They are one. That desire is fulfilled through Holy Spirit led prayer. Our laundry lists of wants and desires is not what He is seeking after. Jesus said our Father knows what we need before we even ask. But do we know what He desires? Jesus said to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. As we seek after the things of our Father, He takes care of what we have need of. It is an act of family love and trust.
If you would look around our world, you would notice the first thing removed from our society when the devil seeks to silence Christians, is the removal of prayer. The second is the removal of the Cross. The Cross is an offense to the devil. It is the power of forgiveness. It reveals the true nature of our God, of sacrificial love. Satan has portrayed Him as unloving but the Cross is the ultimate demonstration of His love to the whole world. As we gaze upon the Cross to understand Him we are drawn to know Him. This is the draw to sit at His feet, pray and know Him.
Scripture is clear that half the virgins will be shut out because they were not prepared for His coming. Let us not be among that number. Let us sit at his feet, know His heart and be obedient to His call. Pray Brothers and Sisters! Pray always! Pray without ceasing! Pray to know your Father's heart.

...Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble." 1 Peter 5:5 (NKJV)
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is good news for all to hear. He has made a way for us to stand before our heavenly Father once again clean and free. Jesus paid the ultimate price for our redemption. He gave His perfect life and blood for us. He is before the Father daily interceding for us because we still sin. Yet we are the ones He has chosen to boldly declare to a dark world that Jesus is God. Jesus is the Lord and Savior and soon coming King of His eternal Kingdom. This kingdom is being birthed on earth as the kingdom of our adversary the devil is coming to an abrupt end.
Talk of our adversary, the devil, is mocked by the system in place. Even our brethren within the church structure, according to statics, do not believe he is real. We have an enemy who has an agenda to steal, kill and destroy anything or anyone who resists his ways and plans. Yes, he, too, has a plan for your life. Ministries fall prey to his assaults as do those who resist him through prayer standing in the gap for the lost and wounded. Do not be surprised as we unite in prayer that things get sticky in your lives. But do not give in to the fear that is thrust into your thoughts. God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind. This truth becomes the motto of every prayer warrior.
The Word of God is our weapon. It is to be declared without doubt as situations arise. God honors His word and the devil fears it. He doesn't doubt that God is real and that Jesus is our Savior. He knows it is true but he does what he can to get us to doubt it. That is his weapon. Being that the battle rages for human souls, we who are called and chosen must keep our armor on and have our weapons sharp. We stay in the word and keep our focus on Jesus Christ.
Guarding our hearts with the Word is also an offensive measure to keep ourselves clean that we may boldly come to the throne of our Father. The Word washes us clean as we meditate on it daily. Take each day as the day at hand. As Jesus instructed, we deal with tomorrow if and when it comes.
We are commissioned to go forth to preach the good news. We do this first in prayer as did Jesus. He found the Father's plan for Him that day then walked it out. He is our example.
Let us find His way for our lives this day and be faithful to Him and follow. As it is written, The Spirit and the Bride say come Lord Jesus. Let us be found doing His will when He arrives.
